WS 2008/2009
In this semester, I'm still supervising our Master Project "T3H" - just go here to get into it.
I'm also offering a theory class on "Virtuality":
"Virtuality" is usually conceptualized in the context of "Virtual Reality", and thus seen more as an "enhanced" or "alternate", yet still determinate "reality", without going effectively beyond established, common-sense perceptual attitudes.
In this seminar we want to explore concepts of "virtuality" which originated in (mostly) french poststructuralism. Reading texts of Deleuze, Guattari, Massumi, O'Sullivan, Agamben et al., we'll explore strategies of how to overcome fixed, frozen patterns of the "real", and learn how subversive concepts of the "virtual" might open views toward a radical, politically significant ethico-aesthetic rendering of artistic practices.
This class is open to students from Digital Media, Integrated Design, and Fine Arts.
At the end of this semester, I'm offering a workshop on "Quantum Information and Musicology" (in German). Find more details here.
