Call for participation by Jason KuhrtPosted by: charli in Biomaterials, Synthetic Biology, WS 2007/2008Hi everyone, I hope you all had great weekends. I've decided upon the first group's topic. Category: Biotech Culture http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bioinformatics http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/103/open_31-church.html Email me back if you are passionate and interested at the above challenge. I'm looking for, ideally, a group of six, even genders, all or mostly different ethnic backgrounds, and varied skill sets. As soon as this group is formed i would like to have a meeting to discuss ideas that could then be further discussed and presented at next Friday's class. If you are wondering what direction might or could be taken (and using that as weight for a decision to participate in this group or not) I would ideally envision an installation/project tackling a design idea/implementation/suggestion/prototype that relates to "Open Source DNA and Bioinformatic Bodies". How could design within this topic be in the future, and how wouldit be beneficial to culture/society? A practical project. I'm just throwing that out there as a starting point, at the first meeting we'd definitely all agree to a more clear goal, among other things. Because i don't know all of you yet, I would greatly appreciate if people interested would specify their gender to make my life a little easier...thanks! Best, |
